EXPERIENCE: My daughter just needed a peanut butter frosting for a cupcake concept. She found this one highly rated on AllRecipes and proclaimed it a keeper. I love peanut butter.
NOTES: We used Skippy Natural or Jiffy Natural creamy peanut butter.
I also do not condone softening butter in the microwave. You just have to remember to put it out at room temp early enough to gently soften it.
- Cream 1/2 cup softened, unsalted butter with 1 cup peanut butter. Add 2 cups powdered sugar, then milk 1 tablespoon at a time until frosting is smooth but not at all runny.
- Beat for 3 minutes, then set aside to use on cool cake or cupcakes.
Serve on top a cake or cupcakes. Obviously.
